Publications

Publication of scientific discovery is the main vehicle by which scientists share knowledge with the world. Principle Investigators in the Division of Intramural Research contribute to an average of 20 publications and are cited in at least 200 publications annually. This is why enabling researchers to collaborate with the scientific community is of such major importance to the mission of Intramural Research.

The Annual Report of the Division of Intramural Research summarizes the extensive contributions of Intramural Researchers. This is an invaluable resource for quickly understanding the direction and progress of research in the DIR. Young scientists exploring careers at the NICHD DIR are urged to explore the Annual Report to assist in finding laboratories align with their interests.

An extensive list of DIR Publications is provided as a more accurate alternative to depending on pubmed queries alone. We have developed tools for our principle investigators to double check the accuracy of pubmed queries and to add other forms of publications including textbook chapters, magazine articles, and other articles which have somehow slipped through the cracks.

The Publication Tools section is a collection of tools available to scientists here in the DIR for use in writing efficiently and accurately, propagating collaboration and streamlining the approval process to get papers out to the public as quickly as possible without compromising accuracy.
